Loose us, the Lord needs us!

Updated: Jun 19

It is reported in the gospels of Matthew 21:1–11, Mark 11:1–11, Luke 19:28–44, and John 12:12–19 that Jesus sent two of His disciples into a village saying to them, "as soon as you enter the village, you shall find a colt tied, whereon never man sat; loose the colt, and bring it to me."

All three Gospels noted that the disciples were to expect to find the colt tied; the disciples were to loose the colt; and the disciples were to bring the colt to Jesus.

It must be noted that the colt was tied with its mother in Matthew.21: 1-3. "Jesus sent two disciples, saying to them, "Go to the village ahead of you, and at once you will find a donkey tied there, with her colt by her. Untie them and bring them to me." This is especially significant in the loosing of generations; not only did Jesus say, loose the donkey but he said, loose both the donkey and the colt. When parents are loose from bondage, their children are also set free.

Donkeys and colts were one of the primary means of transportation at that time; however, the donkey and colt were tied and were not operating in their purpose. My friend, what are you tied to that is hindering your purpose? Are you free to go to Jesus for the release of your purpose? The disciples, under the direction of Jesus, located the colt and loosed it of what it was tied with, where it was connected, and what it was bound to. The colt was most lightly tied with a piece of rope and probably tied in the same spot each day, and as indicated in Matthew, it was also tied with its mother.

As we apply the principle of this event to life, purpose, and destiny, if you feel bound and stagnant, the following prayer in faith coupled with obedience to the Word of God and fasting will help.

Prayer

Father, God, Jesus said, "whosoever sin is the servant of sin." (John 8:30-38, KJV). Lord, we recognize that despite being Abraham's seed, our sins and the sins of our ancestors have enslaved us and created bondage that hinders our purpose in Christ.

Father, Jesus also said to "those who believed in him, that if they continue in His Word, then they were His disciples indeed; and they shall know the truth, and the truth shall free them. The Son, therefore, shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed" (John 8:31-32, 36).

Jesus, in response to Thomas' concerns, "said unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me" (John 14:5-6). Father, I recognize that several things have been hindering me and have tied me. I have noticed negative habits, patterns, and cycles that are hard to break in my life and bloodline.

I come before You, Father, placing a demand on Your Word, which You have sent to deliver me and to free me from what I am tied to that hinders progress in every area of my life. It is written. " God sent his Word, to heal them, and delivered them from their destructions (Ps. 107:20 KJV). Father, I repent of all sin in my life and my bloodline that has enslaved me and my ancestors before me. Father, I accept Your Word in the form of Jesus, who was sent to deliver me and my bloodline.

Father, I now apply Your Word (Jesus) to every area of my life where I am bound. In the mighty Name of Jesus Christ, my Lord, and Saviour, I reject and disconnect my body, mind, soul, and spirit from my natural bloodline and foundation, which is negatively affecting my life now. I detach myself, mind, body, soul, and spirit from all false doctrines and beliefs that contradict the truth of the Word of God.

In the mighty Name of Jesus Christ, my Lord, and Saviour, I reject and disconnect my body, mind, soul, and spirit from anyone with whom I have had any interaction in the past or present, whether in dreams or in the natural, who is negatively affecting my life now. My mother and father are my parents, but they do not own me; (if you are married, say: I am married to my husband/wife, but he/she does not own me) or (if you have a best friend or is a member of an organization say: I have friends but they do not own me; I am a member of ___________ organization but it does not own me).

God created me, I am a part of the church I am the bride of Christ, and I was purchased by His Blood. It is written in Isaiah 54:5, "For your Maker is your husband, the Lord of hosts is his name; and the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer, the God of the whole earth he is called."

In the Name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, I reject and detach my body, mind, soul, and spirit from any habits, activity, or substances to which I have had an addiction in the past or current, whether in dreams or in the natural, that is negatively affecting my life now. In the Name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, I reject and detach my body, mind, soul, and spirit from the cultural practices of the land of my birth and domicile that do not glorify God and that are negatively affecting my life now (Ezekiel 16:4-14).

I divorce and disconnect myself from any altar, place, or organization hindering my forward movement in Christ. In the Name of Jesus and by the authority of the Word of God, I disconnect and reclaim all of my soul fragments left in any place I have visited in the natural or in my dreams. I reclaim my soul fragments from persons who refuse to let me go. I silence every voice repeating my name in places in my past or at any altar. I disconnect my footprints, handprint, and voiceprint in the Name of Jesus.

In the Name of Jesus and by His shed Blood, I break every contract and covenant that has been held me hostage to persons, places, activities, or demonic altars in the Name of Jesus. I reconnect myself by faith and the Blood of Jesus to be included in the Blessings of the Abrahamic covenant.

"Blessed be the God and Father of my Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed me with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, just as He chose me in Him before the foundation of the world, that I should be holy and without blame before Him in love, having predestined me to adoption as a son by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made me accepted in the Beloved. In Him I have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace" (Ephesians 1:3-7).

Thank You, Lord, for Your divine power, which has caused the manifestation of all things that pertain to life and godliness through the knowledge of Him who called me by glory and virtue, which have been given to me exceedingly great and precious promises. These promises allow me to be a part of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption in the world. Thank You, Lord, for setting me free in Jesus' Name (2 Peter 1:3-4). Amen!
